Denji, Denji, Denji……… Every time. Every time you think you’re about to “ascend-” God knocks you right the f*ck back down to Earth. But you keep trying- on multiple ropes. But it always ends the same, donnit? It’s…….. tragic. And downright HILARIOUS. I mean; who IS this chick? WHAT is she? One of them Human Looking Devils like the Horsemen? Shapeshifting type? Human? One of those “Succubus/ Black Widow” types that seduce men jus to kill them? My money would be on that last one if anything. I……. I don’t have much to say at the start of this. I know at some point in this post, I’m gonna bring up the Theory I just posted, so there’s that. But there’s nothing in this chapter that would really segway into me being able to reference it. He says as he just came up with an idea for what this is. Uh……… maybe I should start before I waste all my time. Chainsaw Man Chapter 137: “Chu Chu Lovely Muni Muni Mura Mura.” That’s the name of a song in this chapter- at least I think it is………..

Overview

Picking Up From The Last Chapter: A Girl From Yoshida’s Class Wants To Have “Sexy Fun Time: with Denji here in the theater. But if he wants that to happen, then he has to go and lick the Devil Corpse up front. Dream Sequence: Denji’s flustered– but skeptical. He doesn’t know this girl from Eve and she’s that willing to sleep with him? He talks about how he’s matured enough to where he can ignore the “bait” dangled in his face, and tells her to have more respect for herself. Reality: He’s lickin’ the corpse. Like A Popsicle. And she’s just laughin’ her @$$ off. 

She takes Denji to a Karaoke place where a friend of a friend works. This is where it’s gonna happen; they won’t be able to get a Love Hotel in School Uniform. Denji’s rearin’ to go, but she wants to sing some Karaoke first. Her song of choice(presumably)- “Chu Chu Lovely Muni Muni Mura Mura:”

What are those lyrics? In whatever case; she starts singing, and Denji admits to himself that this is kind of fun. Then Dudes with Metal Baseball bats come in and start trying to beat the sh!t out of him. He fights back without revving his engine, and manages to take out a slew of them. Bu~t Crazy Karaoke Girl grabs a bat and “joins in the fun” against Denji. *Sigh*……… Without Fail, huh? Chainsaw Man Chapter 137 END!! 

REVIEW

Okay, what’s the deal with THIS one? The “Girl” Devil, born from dude’s fears of what Women are like? Succubus? Black Widow? Considering this all happened while she was singing; Siren? Something like that. Or maybe she’s a regular human channeling the power of the Siren Devil to make these guys attack Denji- a contract where she brings said Devil “Yummy Human Males to Consume” or something. Why’s she doing all this? We might find out in the next chapter, or the chapter after, depending on how Fujimoto wants to do this. If it’s a Battle chapter, then we might not get that much dialogue; he tends to save the lack of Dialogue for the BIG CHAINSAW Battles where he just flexes his art skills. So we might find out what she’s about next week- provided she doesn’t transform or something. Yeah. 

Um……… The Song. Denji implied at the end of the chapter that there was actually more to the song than that, but……… I……. I don’t even know what that would entail. It just devolved into listing kidnapping equipment towards the end of THAT verse; what more can I really say, man? I don’t even…… know……. what this song……. What does this man smoke and where do I get some? 

Last thing I’ll say before I wrap this up: I don’t know if Asa’s coming? It’s like: She’s doing the “Superhero” thing right now, so…… I’m uncertain if she’s going to be here for that. Not that Denji needs saving; I just think that the story they could spin to make her look good would be “Asa Mitaka Saved The Jerk That Stood Her Up On Their Second Date” or something. But I also think that Denji might need help on this one since he’s not allowed to become Chainsaw Man(and might just be getting weaker because of what Fami and the Church are doing). Will Chainsaw Man #2 get involved? Eh, probably not. The goal of him is to not be a hero; to make Asa look good. And dispose of the Loose-Ends Fami tells him to. Like Yuko. 

Then again, Chainsaw 2 saved Asa and Denji from Falling. So………. maybe………. I don’t even know where I was going with that one; I doubt that Chainsaw 2 is working against Fami. It might have been some ploy to make Asa look like the Hero that was able to stop the Falling Devil’s plans or something. I don’t know; I’m out of ideas. 

Conclusion

I got nothin’ left. This was a short, “To The Point” type of chapter. Girl didn’t even wait a minute before she tried to kill him this time!! I don’t even really have any closing thoughts for you all this time. Um………. Have you heard the Fan Song “Rev Up- Power Up?” I highly recommend it!
