I wish so much that I was writing this under better conditions. I started this post Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, around 5:15 pm- the day prior to the official release of these 3 chapters. However- I likely won’t be getting to the chapters themselves(or, at the rate things are going- even finish this opener) until…………… maybe even Friday because…………….. I am going to be going to the Emergency Room. I haven’t exactly been on my computer since- looking back– Wednesday of the previous week because I have……………. something growing on the back of my neck that has left me without a good night’s sleep since Thursday. I haven’t gone to work because of it, and it’s been making it hard to move my head around. Like, SERIOUSLY- my neck is really stiff right now. I might also check into a Chiropractor after this. I’m also thinking it’s about time I take my dad’s advice and get a regular check up scheduled ’cause- today in specific- I woke up with a bad headache that still ain’t completely gone. Update: It’s the next day(Thursday, November 14th, 2024, 4:24 pm), and- while I haven’t gone to the ER yet- I AM going at some point in the next few days. So that’s going to be a thing.
But that’s left me with the time to read the official release of all 3 chapters. Read em, and- I have to say: Good chapters- but probably the least interesting to date. They didn’t get me quite as……………… “Hyped” as the other chapters. Which is odd because you’d think this batch would be “The MOST Hype Thing” to come from the Giga releases. But really– that was the Mereoleona content. I got so much to talk about out of that, as well as Silva family content. This has some “kick” to it as well, but not as much as them. At the very least, my notes aren’t as “in depth and focused” as they had been in previous releases. In fact, I actually have something to complain about with these chapters. And…………. it’s not so much a problem with the release format as it is just……………. the way that he chose to structure these 3. He might have been able to cut a few details or do a few things differently here that I think would have given these 61 pages the space to do that. You’ll see what I’m talking about in a second. Ah……………….. I don’t have much to say with this intro, I guess; kind of having a “brain-fart.” Been having a lot of those, lately. I guess it’s good that I started with an explanation as to what’s going on with me right now to bad this out. Though the fact that I now feel that I have time for padding- is not a good sign. Let’s get on with before I waste too much time…………………
Chapter 374: “Demon-God“
Going back a little bit to the end of chapter 370: Nacht(Anti Magic Coated) and Ichika arrive to help Yami with Paladin Morgen and a Lucius Clone. The Faust brother’s are surprised to see each other again(in 2 differing ways), while the Copy Lucius descends to help his “fellow Azure Deer” handle the Anti magic Heretics. Nacht contains them in one area with “Dark Prison Hunting Ground,” telling Ichika to tend to her brother quickly. Speaking of: He’s bleeding out BADLY- to the point where he believes Ichika to be a hallucination. But the ki that he feels from her is proof enough that this is all really happening. He weakly asks his sister how she made it to the Clover Kingdom, to which she explains that Black Bulls helped Asta return. She reveals that she learned what had transpired the night of the Yami clan massacre– knowing that she was the one who went full “Itachi” and that the only person her brother had killed that night was their father. She apologizes for resenting him all this time, to which he replies that it doesn’t really matter. FLASHBACK: A few hours following the Yami Clan Massacre– Ryu is helping Sukehiro(Yami) pack up to run, agreeing to letting him to take the fall for the massacre.
He says not to worry about him, ’cause he’s going to get stronger and “live the life he wants.” Which he ultimatelydoes. He says that he’ll come back and visit once Ryu’s become the Shogun, to which Ryu says that “he and Ichika will be looking forward to it.” Guess we’ll be getting that in some post series content. BACK IN THE PRESENT: Ichika notes that his wounds. Are. Deep. So Ichika takes out something that Ryu said to give to Yami in case of an “emergency:” A Demon Soul Pill- the pill that made Ichika go berserk all those years ago. She doesn’t understand why Ryuya would give this to Yami, considering everything that happened. But Sukehiro gets it: Ryu now thinks he can handle it now. You see, their dad didn’t get the description of the pill quite right; it’s not that it “boosts the urge to kill-” it boosts your abilities to the point that you lose your mind. So then the question is: “What does it look like when someone doesn’t lose their mind?” He takes the pill, and it starts boosting his power and recovery speed to an absurd degree. But not fast enough; The Lucius Copy descends from the “Dark Prison Hunting Ground,” eager to meet with Yami’s little sister.
Ichika grabs her brother’s body and avoids Lucius as much as possible- but is almost caught. Thankfully- the Pill took, and Yami takes on a form reminiscent of an Oni, using his katana to cut down the Faux Lucius in one attack. He wasn’t able to stop her back then, but now- he’s gonna protect his sister with all he has.
Chapter 375: “Strafe(Punishment)“
A Few Minutes Earlier: Nacht braces himself to face Paladin Morgen, realizing that he’s currently using the power of the Supreme Rank Lucifugus. He uses Triple Union Mode “Gallus x Felix x Canis,” and the trio proceed to do battle in the dark. They all seem to be on equal footing, but Morgen realizes that something is still holding Nacht back- a weakness that he plans to take Full Advantage of. Leading to the wall coming down on the “Hunting Ground” leading in to the end of the last chapter where the Lucius Clone is defeated by Yami. The copy begins to fall apart before them, commending Yami for still managing to hide this kind of strength from him after all this time. But Yami isn’t interested in getting compliments from some freak wearing his friends face. Though the collapsing clone warns him in his final moment: Morgen is far stronger than him right now…………. Low-and-behold- even with Anti Magic coating- Nacht is sent hurtling to the ground by Morgen. Though Yami thinks there’s more to it than Morgen just being strong. True Enough: Despite his duties as a Magic Knight of the Clover Kingdom and Vice Captain of the Black Bulls- he can’t bring himself to kill Morgen a second time.
Morgen has no such problem, knowing that “Lucius will bring them together again.” He fires a beam of light at Nacht, but Yami comes in an diverts the attack. They land, and Yami scolds him for letting Lucius’ mind games get the better of him. He reminds Nacht that the Morgen that they knew– the one who lived to save people- is long dead; what stands before them is a brainwashed corpse that just looks like him. Nacht promised to bare that sin for as long as he lives, so he has to be the one to put Morgen back in the dirt. Yami’s just here ’cause he can’t do it alone. Morgen moves in for another attack, and Yami defends- admitting that the one making him “sick” here is Lucius- the way he desecrates the dead while wearing Julius’ face turns his stomach. He admits that he’s never forgotten about Morgen, but he refuses to allow Lucius to further ruin his memory. He begins charging up his next spell…………..
Chapter 376: “Suuhne(Atonement)“
Nacht’s Inner Dialogue: He recalls a recurring dream he has- one where he joined the Gray Deer Magic Knight Squad with Yami and Morgen. He and Yami end up fighting over Morgen a lot, and Morgen just…………….. smiles the way he always had. Then he wakes up and the unforgiving despair that is “Reality” sets in. Yami uses “Dark Cloaked Demon Slash,” but Morgen uses Dark magic to nullify the attack before combining it with his Light Magic to send multiple devastating attacks in all directions. Yami uses his “Black Moon” to avoid getting hit, but he doesn’t know how long he can keep it up during the fight. Yami realizes: This is what that Lucius clone was talking about. “Light Shines Brightest In The Dark-” his Light magic is getting stronger when cast through the Dark magic- he’s amping himself, putting him on a level beyond even that of Lucius. As Yami continues to battle, Nacht and Ichika watch on. Ichika gives Nacht a word of advice:
I don’t know much about your relationship to my brother. From what Asta told me, though: After brother defended me and was driven from out homeland- even in a foreign land he knew nothing about- He inspired all sorts of people. I almost made my brother shoulder everything by himself again. I can’t possibly standby and watch as if I were some Tragic Princess.

Morgen and Yami continue to fight, with Morgen’s speed overwhelming and almost costing Yami the battle. Ichika steps in just in time with “Black Star.” Together with “Black Moon,” they make that Dark Combo Spell: “BLACK HEAVENS,” knocking all of Morgen’s Light magic attacks off course. Seeing the Yami siblings fight their hardest like this- the synergy that Morgen has with himself vs the Yami’s combo spell- Nacht stands up, refusing to take the “easy way” out of this by dying. He has a “sin” to atone for. To that end: Quadruple Devil Union “Gallus x Felis x Canis x Equus.” At just a double Devil Union he was able to gain the power of a Supreme Rank. This– I wouldn’t even know where to start. But it’s time for their Counter Attack. Dark x Dark x Shadow Magic:
“Walpurgis Night.“
Nacht’s shadows raise the land up, allowing for them to engage in a Ludicrous Magic battle in the air- Morgen’s light bouncing ever which way as it’s contained within the expanded “Black Heavens.” It’s seriously ridiculous what’s going on on this page. But even with “Walpurgis Night” keeping him in a localized area- Morgen doesn’t plan on stopping. Rather- he plans to surpass them all. But what he DIDN’T realize is that “The Brighter The Light- The Deeper The Shadow It Casts.” All that Light Morgen was putting out there- in conjunction with the darkness- allowed for Nacht’s shadows to get the better of him- stabbing him through the back with a Shadow construct. Nacht says a final “Goodbye” to Morgen, knowing that THIS pain is gonna be with him for the rest of his life. Black Clover Chapter’s 374-376 END. You know what? I like this more than I thought I did. Funny how sitting down to write a review makes you rethink the content you’re talking about, huh?
REVIEW
It is now Sunday, November 17th, 2024, around 1:01 pm when I’m picking this up again. I’ve had to rewrite this part twice as both times I failed to get my thoughts across properly. Also I was in a lot of pain from that thing I told you about in the opening. I didn’t end up going to the Emergency Room over it; it, uh……………. “took care of itself,” we’ll say. That was the other part: I felt that I “overshared” on that part. When anyone who knows me knows that I lack a “censor” and I felt kind of awkward and gross from saying it- you know that I went too far. So that draft had to go. But then I also couldn’t say what I meant to say. I think because I didn’t start with my main point. I talked again about how I’m starting to feel about the Giga release schedule(once per quarter of the year/every 3 months or so), but I think I trailed off an missed what I was gonna say- about how I’m seeing a lot of positive reception to these chapters, and the new release schedule as a whole. I wanted to say that I’m glad that people are enjoying this new format when I’m having trouble getting used to it. And it’s not even like I’m entirely opposed to the new release schedule– I can appreciate that Tabata sensei made this change so that his life doesn’t “revolve around” this manga; he wanted to spend more time with his family and- just as importantly– REST.
I’m not gonna say that the art has necessarily “gotten better” because he could still pull off feats like Asta’s Devil Union debut, Lucifero’s incarnation in the Human world, the “Like You” page, and other triumphs in art on a weekly schedule. It’s more like “he was already great, but now he has time to make it even better.“ The “Walpurgis Night” page was very well done, even if it was hard to follow what was going on on that page. I think it was a cage of Dark and Shadow magic with Morgen and his Light Magic attacks being pulled in all directions by the sheer number of Dark Magic constructs in the area. Something like that. I also started to talk again about how the stories pacing isn’t allowing for us to linger on some of the idea’s he’s presenting. There’s what I said during the Mereoleona chapter; the imagery of Noelle and the Leviathan(and the Leviathan itself); Lucifugus and everything going on with the Yami clan; CHARMY; and we still haven’t gotten to see what the other Black Bull’s Anti Magic amps are capable of. I’d ASSUME it works differently for them in comparison to Luck and Magna; they were offensive mages that specialized in close range combat- I would think support mages like Vanessa and Finral would have a different “effect” than them. I think I said back during that review that Vanessa might be able to bestow “Bad luck” on her opponents, rather than defending the Black bulls. But we don’t know that yet. And with all 3 of the Important Ground battles wrapping up with this chapter, I’m not entirely sure how much time we’re gonna get to………………. see what they can do.
I would HOPE so, otherwise there was no point in giving us this information on Anti Magic and giving them these forms. I like to think that he has a plan for them, and we’ll get a chapter or 2 of seeing them clean house with the Guardian Angels; we got the set up of Gauche fighting with Marie and Gordon with William and Charolette. And those will likely end with some teaser for Asta and Yuno vs Lucius, which I imagine will take up most of the finale- whenever that may be. I said in the first draft that we’ll likely be going INTO 2026 with “Black Clover,” but the series will not make it out of 2026. But the more that I thought about it, the more that I think the series might just crack 400 chapters before it concludes. And at about 2 or so chapters each release(this one being the first to have 3 full chapters), and about 4 releases in a year- that would take 2025 into chapter 384- 2026 into 392- and chapter 400 and(God willing) beyond in 2027. I don’t think it’ll get that deep into the 400s before it ends, but definitely into 400. 408– that seems like a good number to stop at. Ah………………. picking this back up again after a few hours(5:34 pm) while my computer was charging, and- I have a confession to make:While I was waiting for my computer to finish chargings- I watched Broku’s video covering the chapter. On my phone. YEAH……………
For those who are wondering why I felt the need to say that: I have a rule about watching videos discussing the same chapters that I’m currently working on only AFTER I’ve put out my own post. It’s part of why I add time stamps throughout the post; I want everyone to know when I came up with the ideas in comparison to when the videos were released, and- should the day ever arise that I’m popular enough to where I need to prove I didn’t plagiarize from someone else by proving my watch history(would getting that big be a GOOD thing or a Bad thing?)- to make sure that everyone knows that the ideas I come up with in my posts are my own unless said otherwise. It’s……………………. a long story. Put plainly: My brother, Ajay, thinks I only got into watching My Hero Academia because of a Geekdom101 video discussing the series. I hadn’t been interested in the series prior, so he thinks the only way I’d get into it is if Geekdom SPECIFICALLY recommended it. Listen: It’d be more accurate to say it was Mother’s Basement and his videos breaking down the first 2 openings for seasons 1 and 2– THAT is when I decided to watch My Hero. But it p!sses me off every time I think about it. So I promised myself that I would make sure that I would time code everything I do to make sure that no one can say something like that to me again. It’s a personal story- one I hope to elaborate on one of these days……………………
Okay, no that I FINALLY got over that first hurdle, I can finally move on to the actual contents of the chapters. Starting with part of what I’m saying about their being a lot of things that Tabata still has to address before the endings………….
Lucifugus, The Yami Clan, And The Demon God
One benefit to watching “Broku’s” video before coming to this part– is that he reminded me that we had already heard of the “Demon God” of the Yami clan before this- in Ichika’s backstory. It’s the “Title of The Strongest Fighter In The Yami Clan.” So this was already set up. Now, as to why Yami was able to take the Demon Soul pill and reach that level while everyone else in the history of the clan failed– I think it comes down to his Devil Heart. ‘Member THAT little nugget Tabata gave us during the Lucifero battle? Based on everything that we know and what we’ve seen in the story, I am under the impression that the ancestors of the Yami clan had some kind of contract with Lucifugus that allowed them to use Dark Magic. For a few reasons:
- Morris said in chapter 313 that “the power of the Underworld dwelled in Dark magic,” implying that it’s a power from the Underworld itself.
- Megicula is described as the “Parent Of All Curses-” the one from which all Curse Magic originates from. Gordon’s family specializes in curse and hexes, implying that the family has had dealings with the Curse Devil in the past.
- Megicula’s epithet implies that Devil’s are the source of certain powers come from the underworld itself.
That list……………….. is flimsier than I thought it would be. But it IS “something.” I think that the Yami clan- much like the Agrippa’s and Megicula seemed to have- made a contract with Lucifugus that allowed them to use Dark magic. I can’t even fathom what a Supreme Devil- especially one of the Qliphoth Devils– would ask for in return, but I know it was definitely a steep price that they felt was worth it. Whether it was or not- we will likely never know. But the fact that even after all these years their descendants are still using Dark Magic/Yojutsu implies that it was something that seeped into the bloodline. And I’m picking this up the next day(Monday, November 18th, 2024, 2:47 pm) and I’ve lost my “train of thought.” I meant for that to tie into my idea that the Demon Soul pill was made to bring out that “latent Devil Power” to the point where Weg becomes present, thus giving Yami his horns and what SEEMS to be a wing forming, just like Black Asta 2. And the reason why Sukehiro(this reveal was crazy; I’m not sure how to name this guy anymore, so I’m just gonna alternate between both) was able to awaken to the Demon God form vs the rest of his clan that lost their minds under the influence of the pill- comes down to his Devil Heart. He’s already a Devil at this point. Those of the Yami clan who took the pill in the past likely couldn’t handle the power being drawn out of them, and thus met the same fate as those who would use the Magic Stones or those who fail their Devil Binding Ritual: A Mental Break.
But when it comes to Sukehiro- it’s just bringing out his latent power. He’s been using Underworld power for a year and 3 months; he can take it. That’s really all that I meant to say. Huh…………… I actually managed to say it.
Paladin Morgen And “Synergy”
This is something I only thought about between my breaks on this post. This feels like it’s gonna be a long one. It already is by virtue of how many chapters I have to talk about; their length; the fact that I chose to still discuss the chapters THEMSELVES; and how much I have to say every time I think about it. I’ve said it a few times that “Black Clover” has become my 3rd favorite anime/manga series after Dragon Ball(which will NEVER leave the top spot) and One Piece(which will LIKELY never be replaced); that I value how “genuine” and “simplistic” it is with itself, its story, its characters and their arcs, and its power system. I talked before about how I value the “creativity” all magic has in this story- best shown through Noelle’s various spells- but also how it utilizes Type Match Ups. Like- that’s an ACTUAL aspect of combat; we are told that certain attributes hold certain advantages over others, and that is the reason the Magic Knights conduct missions in Teams- to compensate for their various weaknesses. Mereoleona couldn’t defeat Acier in training matches. Yami’s Dark Magic and it’s “innate” gravity vs Dante’s actual Gravity; the Ludic Sanctuary’s purpose was to cut Vanica’s blood magic power in half while boosting Noelle’s because blood has a harder time clotting in water; so on an so forth. I like it; it’s easy for me to understand, and he Tabata manages to make it look so f*ckin’ cool. But what these chapters have reminded me: It’s not just Typing MATCH UPS that matter- it’s also the pairings.
It’s like Tabata took some inspiration from Pokemon when he made the later portions of this manga. Much like a Water/Ground type like Swampert, or a Dark/Ghost like Sableye; Lucius has given Morgen magic that compliments his original power very well, making him potentially stronger than himself(Lucius)(at the very least, he was stronger than a clone). Swampert’s typing gets rid of the weakness Electricity; Sableye’s get’s rid of the weakness to fighting; channeling Light Magic THROUGH Dark magic makes it stronger and faster- “light shines brightest in the dark.” That– the Dark magic’s “innate gravity” that draws in all magic and “crushes it” gives him Ultimate Defense. It’s a wonder why he and Yami worked so well together under the Azure Deer Magic Knight Squad; Yami’s dark magic just made Morgen’s “shine brighter!!” But now that he has Dark Magic unto himself– he’s just “Self Synergizing.” I say this because of the end of chapter 376 in conjunction with what we know about Dark and Shadow magics. “The Brighter The Light- The Deeper The Shadow It Cast,” and “Shadows Create Darkness, And Darkness Spreads Shadows.” “Light Shines Brightest In The Dark-” the brighter his light- the deeper the darkness of the shadow, and thus the brighter his light. Indefinite Synergy Of Darkness And Light- going back to what he said prior to the move to Giga: “He Is The Strongest Magic Knight On His Own.” That actually ties into the Madness that is the “Walpurgis Night” combo spell:
- Someone on twitter pointed that the name might come from combining all of Nacht’s Devil’s names- since it only came about when he combined all 4 Union Modes. Walgner; Purmede(L’s & R’s in Japanese; Translations; pronunciations; Yadda Yadda Yadda); Gimodelo; Slotos. Wal-Pur-Gi-S. “Walpurgis–“refers to a traditional holiday celebrated on April 30th in Northern Europe and Scandinavia. In Germany, the holiday is celebrated by dressing in costumes, playing pranks on people, and creating loud noises meant to keep evil at bay. Many people also hang blessed sprigs of foliage from houses and barns to ward off evil spirits, or they leave pieces of bread spread with butter and honey, called ankenschnitt, as offerings for phantom hounds. Of those 2 interpretations- I would say that German tradition applies the most to Nacht. “The Story of Faust” is German Folklore, and was definitely an inspiration behind Nacht’s character, but also the “dressing in costumes(Devil union),” “playing pranks on people(he and Yami performed petty acts as kids, causing just enough trouble for it to be “fun” but never quite enough to summon a Magic Knights- “Kid’s Pulling Pranks”),” and “Creating Loud Noise Meant To keep Evil at Bay(“Union Mode: Gallus” characteristic is “Call,” using it to drag Lilith and Naamah away from Jack and Dante- “Loud Noise To Keep Evil Away”).” That’s some symbolism right there.
- This is a compound of Dark Magic, Dark Yojutsu, and Shadow Magic- a super compound spell that pulls Light in multiple directions, disrupting its course before funneling it all into the giant “Black Moon” in the center. It’s just a higher scale version of “Black heavens” from earlier in the chapter. But as we’ve established: Light makes Darkness and Shadow’s stronger, and Vice-Versa. This spell is NUTS- it’s essentially just these 4 characters infinitely boosting each other’s power in a giant Mana Zone- one that could hypothetically just expand forever since “shadows spread darkness” and all of what we’ve said. With them just scaling off of each other infinitely, it’s a wonder how Nacht was able to get the jump on Morgen like that. Though that leads to the next topic, now doesn’t it?
Nacht’s Anti-Shadow Power
SO……………….. Some Things. I am writing this Thursday, November 28th, 2024, around 11:37 AM- on Thanksgiving, one of the Holidays that I didn’t really care about growing up, but the older I get and the more life……………. changes around me– the more that I appreciate and enjoy it. Seeing my family like this every year is starting to put a smile on my face. That said, it’s just those in my household(myself, my brothers, my dad, and grandmother), and my aunt and her family, and my uncle and cousins aren’t even here at the moment- she’s just cooking with my grandmother. But…………… it’s the “spirit” that I love. They’ll be over later, anyway. Ah……………. I’ve been busy with work– the job site I’m at is……………. well, it’s actually the same site I had been going to for a while. But there’s this new supervisor there who’s……………….. kind of a slacker. Or- more like he’s just not trying to “overwork,” and ends up…………… not working a lot of the time. I’ll admit: every now and then I’ll pop a squat and take a minute to “breathe” while I’m working- not trying to take advantage of the former “lack of super vision” we had before but not working too hard just cleaning up. But this guy has us taking breaks every like 30 minutes. And so cleaning up the site has taken………………… way longer than it had ever taken before.
What usually has taken me about 2 weeks or less to complete- is going into Week 3. Good for money- I don’t get as much sleep and don’t get any time to work on posts. Thankfully, I think we’re just about done, so Monday should be the very last day at that site for a while. It’s gonna be a minute before I get something else, though; the bosses at work don’t seem to want to send me to any other sites. And with as clean as we’re getting this, they shouldn’t need us again so soon. But yeah; that’s why this posts completion date has been put off so much. Though it’s not as if I wasn’t thinking about the series; I once again thought about that post I want to do about Magna vs Dante. In thinking about it, I began to realize what people are talking about when they use the term “Suttle Genius.” There’s just………………… a LOT that I want to say about that fight, and I can never seem to put my thoughts into words when trying to tell a person. I’m definitely gonna try again when…………………….. I Get The Chance. But for now I have something to wrap up so I can…………… get to 2 other things. Or 3 potentially……………….. “Busy” is an understatement.
Now, onto the topic at hand: The more that I looked back at these 3 chapters- the more that I realized what was going on. I original had complaints about Nacht’s usage- or “lack there of-” of his Anti Magic characteristics; that we didn’t get to see him use it to it’s fullest. Like, I figured he’d be able to use his shadows to draw in Morgen or an Archangel and they would begin to decay, or seeing him us his Devil Unions characteristics- like Gallus modes “Call” destroying Magic attacks, or Equus mode’s defense destroys any magic that attacks him. Things like that. Though I guess for the sake of the pacing, Tabata had to forgo having Nacht do simple single unions in favor of getting to “the point” with stacking this Union modes. I knew at some point in this fight we’d see a Full 4 way Union, but that Triple one was genuinely unexpected- especially the design. It was good, and apparently another Berserk reference- I just wasn’t expecting him to look so much like a Dragonoid/Dragon Person…………………………. I think I’m “losing the plot” a little. It’s honestly been a minute since I’ve been able to sit down and write. I’m building to the idea that Nacht had been using his Anti Magic Characteristics the entire time- but in a less “overt” way then combatant types like Luck and Magna.
With them– they’re more “straightforward, hand-to-hand” types- the one’s who prefer to “Fight” vs Nacht who’s more for the “trappy, trickery, gimmicky” type of battles- someone who…………… “works in the shadows” no pun intended. Luck and Magna are “All Flash-” Nacht is “All Subtlety.” Ichika said that they only had enough “charge” on their Anti Magic for “2 Big Attacks,” so of course the Fire-Lightning duo would burn through theirs like it was nothing. Nacht on the other hand; Nacht……………. won’t do that unless his back’s against the wall. He’ll us it a little “smarter” than that. That being said; I do think that his initial attack was meant to be an Anti Magic Coated Mana zone that would destroy their attacks and- possibly after a while- even start to decay those “Undying Bodies” of theirs. Or, well- Lucius Magic has reached the point where he’s making actual Humanbodies, so it might not have done anything to their bodies. But then Magna and Luck completely destroyed that Lucius clone with that combo Anti Magic attack, so maybe there’s still some “residual magic” in the bodies Lucius constructs. Which actually lines up with my thoughts that the last attack Nacht used was an Anti Magic attack. This post is getting to “that” point, but let’s keep going a little while. Because I also kind of wanted to talk about Nacht’s Devil Union’s for a minute:
- Not sure how a Dog, a cat, and a crow equate to something Dragonic in design, but I like it.
- Nacht believed that combining 2 Mid Rank Devil’s would let him boost himself to the level of a Supreme Rank. Only for Lilith and Naamah to prove themselves to be far stronger than that. And those 2 were on the lowest level of the Tree Of Qliphoth- the WEAKEST Qliphoth Devils, and likely the weakest of the Supreme Ranks. If they’re supreme ranks, then all Qliphoth Devil’s are Supreme ranks. And they’re possible the only Supreme Ranked Devils- I don’t think there’s any “unseen, unknown Supreme Rank” out there beyond those connected to Qliphoth. Losing the plot I’m trying to say that Nacht may have been stronger than a High Rank like Zagreb, but not exactly a Supreme Rank. That Triple one, though- that one put him in their domain. Stronger than Lilith and Naamah individually? I’d say “Yes.” Though it’s debatable if he was at the same level as their fusion. And I’ll say stronger than that with the Quadruple Union, but I can’t say where he- or Fusion Lilith- stand in relation to the Enigma that is Adramelech of the 2nd Gate.
- It’s become a bit of a Fan Head Canon that a Devil’s form is somewhat indicative of their rank: Low Ranks are the misshapen monsters that flowed out of the first gate; Mid Ranks are slightly more Humanoid than that; High Ranks like Zagreb are even more so and seemingly have Black hair(the High Rank that threw Liebe against the barrier between the Underworld and Human world was shown to be rather humanoid and had black air in the anime(can’t wait for fans to come after me for that one)); and the Supreme Ranks that we’ve seen commonly(Lilith, Naamah, and Lucifero) all have 4 horns with white hair. Well; Lilith and Naamah do in their fusion form. This whole thing falls apart the more you look at it. Which could mean that this point of discussion doesn’t hold any water and thus I should quit while I’m ahead. Simply put: I was curious if there was a connection between Nacht’s 6 horns in this 4 way Union mode and Asta’s 5th in “True Devil Union.” Though the situations are completely different. Yeah, I should stop right here.
Closing Thoughts
Okay, so- New Day(Sunday, December 1st, 2024, 4:39 pm). Got some rest; helped with Grocery shopping; got some stuff for lunch tomorrow at work; posted a preview for THIS post on my old site; ate; and now I’m back at this post to give some of my “Final Thoughts.” I actually ended up deleting the original “closing thoughts” section because it just…………….. did NOT sit right with me to end off on such a dreary, dower note. I mean, yesterday I was just exhausted writing this post; just TIRED and wanting to get to the end, and yet felt the need to still include this section as I tend to for larger posts. But I was so tired that it just came out………………….. bleh. But now that I’m back at it a little “fresher-” I still find myself with nothing really to say. I could give you the same old rhetoric about my health and my schedule, but at this point I’ve laid it out so much that I’m honestly sick of talking about. The only new challenge I have right now is the supervisor with us at my current job site. It’s still the middle school job site I’ve mentioned once or twice, except there’s this new guy there working way closer with us than the other did. And he’s……………………. much more “laxed” in what he’s doing. To the point that I’m actually going into my 3rd week there. Now I’ll grant: We had a short week because of Thanksgiving; we were probably coming back this week anyway.
THAT SAID: I was out of work sick for a minute, so they actually had sent someone else up there before me. So REALLY- this would be the 4th d@mn week this site has asked my company to send people up there. I’ve never been on this particular site for any longer than 2 weeks. THIS SUPERVISOR is coming from a different site the same company is working on. He gives us little breaks every once in a while, but……………… they’re kind of long, and it feels like I’m doing very little every time I work there at the moment. I don’t like that. I’ll admit, everyone once in a while I’ll pop a squat for a minute or 2 to catch my breath, but………….. every 20 minutes or 15? I don’t know; I don’t want to just “collect a check” or nothing- I want to actually earn it. Though I’ll never say “No” if $20 is on the side of the road(though with Wallets getting more secure, the days of finding dollar bills on the ground is becoming a rarity). But I want to “work” when I’m “at work-” though I’d rather go at my own pace. Maybe that’s the core of the issue: He’s “throwing off my pacing.” A part of an old problem, I guess.
Ah……………………. Something else about these chapters that I wanted to discuss but couldn’t find the space for(or, maybe it’s more accurate to say that I didn’t feel like LOOKING for it, and by the time I remembered I was too exhausted to really care) was talking about the potential of a resonance buff with Dark magic and Anti Magic. Both are powers that come from the Underworld, and- as we saw back during the late portions of the Elf Invasion– there’s a potential “Resonance” between Devil’s. Though as I’ve speculated: That’s more a trait to do with Liebe and his Anti Magic; as a power that he manifested with the goal of “Killing All Devils,” one of its “characteristics” would be to “resonate” with other Devil’s mana- scaling to match(and in one case even potentially exceeding(though why it happened in this case is still unclear unless you believe a certain fan theory)) their power, and that being why Asta’s Anti Magic “overflowed” against Zagreb. And Dark magic– a power coming from what is likely the Top Qliphoth Devil behind the Devil King’s themselves(the original roster consisted of Lucifero at #1, Astaroth at #2, and Beelzebub at #3, but Lucius taking out Astaroth “bumped” everyone who wasn’t Lucifero up a grade. Likely Megicula was just the Top Qliphoth Devil followed by Lucifugus, and she was bumped up to Devil King status with Astaroth gone, and Beelzebub up to #2. Something like that)- operating on a similar “wavelength” to Anti Magic(both being abilities that can damage and even kill Devils); I believed that Nacht’s Anti Magic would have been made………………… stronger once Yami’s “Devil” traits started showing.
Which reminds me: My theory about “Devil Resonance” concluded that it’s more to do with Anti Magic than to do with the Devil’s themselves, coming to a head during the fight against Lucifero in which the Anti Magic “resonated” with Lucifero and Asta(who’s speculated to be some kind of Devil Hybrid accidentally made by Megicula combining his immunity to Life draining attacks and Megicula’s ability to turn Humans into Devils), bringing the Anti Magic out to max. But something I realized as I was writing this: There were WAY MORE DEVILS in that vicinity than just those 2. Nacht’s 4 Mid Ranks, Adramelech, and Yami who’s heart was turned into that of a Devil. There were 7(possibly 7 and 1/2) living Devils in that vicinity for the Anti Magic to scale off of. Now, it likely locates the strongest source of negative mana and scales off of it alone- there isn’t really a point in try to match the lower levels when you can exceed them. So unless the resonance “stacks” and all those Devil’s there is what brought out that 5th horn(if that horn is indicative of anything at all as I’ve laid out above), then I’m gonna say that Lucifero’s what brought that out of the Anti Magic boys. Though what “it” is is up to interpretation……………………….
Wow, a little bit of rest and I feel like I could actually keep writing. But that was GENUINELY the last of what I had to say. In fact, I’m not even sure I have anything left to say period. Like; not even a proper “segue” into the ending. So, uh……………………..
Conclusion
Yeah. That’s, uh…………… That’s everything. To the point where I’m almost out of battery life to finish this post………………… again. Looks like this post is going to be on “hold” for a while once again. Sorry about that; I’m genuinely trying to put this out at a reasonable time. But “duty calls” or whatever. Ah…………….. I’m TRYING to do a Dead Rock “Mass Review,” but sh!t just keeps coming up and I can’t seem to even really start it. NOW I gotta do another One Piece “Mass Review” ’cause the series is back and it’s “being itself” in the best of ways. I gotta talk about it. I’ll definitely do it in the same way I did last time, but I doubt it’ll come out any sooner than………………. this. Especially if tomorrow at work goes the same way as it has been. And like I said: I REALLY want to talk about Magna vs Dante. And Deku vs Muscular for a similar reason. UPDATE: It is Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at 3:31 pm(only True “Black Clover” fans will understand that significance of that number). Like I’ve been saying: “Busy With Work-” more so than I thought I would be. I’m actually going back on Monday to the same site.
